So. Lots of things going on over here.
I left my job at Barnes and Noble (I'd been there just shy of 10 months) and started working at GameStop. Last week I worked both jobs while I finished one and began another. I worked 8 straight days in a row and I have never felt so exhausted, but I am proud to say that the job-switch went without a hitch! I make more money hourly at GameStop and they are trying to get me hours equal to my hours at Barnes. I'm still hoping for my temp agency to find me something office-y so that I can make even more but we'll see how that goes.

Another change: I got a new car!
NEW new. Like... 12 miles on her when I got her new.
My old car has been dying, and though I have loved him very much (he was my first car) I need a new, more reliable ride. I decided to buy new instead of used because I get extremely attached to things...especially things I rely on every day like a car. I name them and to me, they have spirits. So I decided that instead of buying used where I would go through this sad dance in yet another 5 years, I wanted to buy new and have my new darling last me for 10+ years.
She's a Honda Fit, she's powder blue, her name is Oriana, and she's beautiful!

She's a baby...I have to keep her below 70mph for the first 1,000 miles. How cute!

So I do have payments to make, now... but I figure that this is the best time: while I am living at home and my parents have not yet thought of charging me rent. I think my dad even mentioned that he would hold off paying me rent since I had car payments to make. It'll take me 5 years to pay off, but there's no penalty for paying early so let's hope I win the lottery or something

I am doing well on all fronts. The job situation has been a little stressful, especially since I'm not yet getting the hours I need at GameStop, so for a little while I'll be making a bit less money than I'm used to. But I got my schedule for next week and it's going to pick up soon. So that's good!
And I am happy to say that I will have more time for creative endeavors! So I'll be writing and drawing and painting as much as I am able!

That's pretty much it for now. I am just really excited to be moving on... new job, new car... maybe even newer job soon. I guess the next step is an apartment, right? We'll see what happens.........
